A platform vendor's disclosed game catalog is only half the picture — the other half is who independently certified that the games' RNG and RTP are what the vendor says they are. This page sets out the certification landscape referenced across our platform profiles.

GLI-19 and Gaming Laboratories International

GLI-19 ("Interactive Gaming Systems v3.0") is a standard issued by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), one of the best-known independent testing labs in the industry. It is commonly understood to cover the technical testing of interactive gaming systems used by online casino and sportsbook operators; we're stating that as a general characterization rather than quoting a specific itemized scope from GLI's own materials, since that level of itemization wasn't confirmed word-for-word on the page we reviewed.

eCOGRA's RNG and RTP Certification

eCOGRA provides independent RNG certification — including source code review, statistical analysis of RNG outputs, seed-generation evaluation, and periodic re-audits — as well as a separate RTP Percentage Testing service. eCOGRA states that its conformity assessments run under ISO/IEC 17025:2017, ISO/IEC 17020:2012, and ISO/IEC 17065:2012 (an ISO/IEC 17067:2013 Type 1a scheme). These ISO/IEC standards are confirmed on eCOGRA's own site as describing eCOGRA's accreditation — we are not presenting them as a UK Gambling Commission requirement.

The UK Gambling Commission's Approved Test House List

The Gambling Commission publishes and maintains an official list of approved Test Houses that licensees must use for Remote Technical Standards (RTS) compliance testing. As published on the Commission's site and checked in August 2026, the list included: BMM Testlabs, BMM Spain Testlabs SL, eCOGRA Limited, Gaming Associates Europe Ltd, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) LLC and its regional entities, Global Lab Limited, Nick Farley & Associates (Eclipse Compliance Testing), Quinel Ltd, and RiskCherry. This list can change over time, so treat it as a snapshot as published on the Commission's site rather than a permanently fixed roster — always check the Commission's own page directly before relying on it.

A note on iTech Labs: iTech Labs was not found on the Commission's published approved-test-house list as of the date we checked in August 2026. That is a single-session observation about a list that can change, not a claim that iTech Labs is permanently unapproved — confirm directly against the Commission's current published list before drawing a conclusion either way.

How to Use This When Evaluating a Platform Vendor

Since UKGC-licensed operators must use one of the Commission's named approved Test Houses, and both GLI and eCOGRA appear on that list, a reasonable evaluation question for any platform vendor compared on this site is simple: which named test house certified this platform's RNG, and are they on the Commission's current approved list? A vendor's general claim to be "independently tested" is worth less than a named test house and a checkable certificate.
